According to Spanish journalist Manu Sainz. The Argentina international has been linked with an Etihad exit after losing his place under Pep Guardiola last summer.
Brazilian sensation Gabriel Jesus took the City star's spot last season, sparking rumours the 29-year-old would quit the club.
And Sainz, who works for AS, Cadena SER and El Chiringuito TV, reckons Guardiola has given the green light for Aguero to join Chelsea this summer.
He tweeted: “I'm told Chelsea want to sign Kun Aguero. [Pep] Guardiola has already give his ok to the operation.”
Aguero netted 30 goals in all competitions last season under the former Barcelona boss, despite losing his place to Jesus.
Chelsea are desperate to splash the cash this summer with Champions League football back at Stamford Bridge next season.
Antonio Conte has already landed Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko, Roma defender Antonio Rudiger and City stopper Willy Caballero.
And Conte has other targets, including Juventus defender Alex Sandro.
