Carlo Ancelotti's men have made some astute signings this summer bringing in youngsters such as Corentin Tolisso and Serge Gnabry, as well as making Kingsley Coman's loan move permanent. Though Gnabry will spend the season on loan at Hoffenheim.

The highlight of their summer, however, has to be the signing of James Rodriguez from Real Madrid on a two-year loan deal.

The Colombia international is a great playmaker, who should add an extra edge to the Bayern Munich attack and could cause AC Milan plenty of problems.

Bayern may also have noted how Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang caused Milan all sorts of problems in their opening game, and Robert Lewandowski could thrive against a new-look back line.

Vincenzo Montella has seen 10 new players arrive over the summer at AC Milan and will want to incorporate as many as possible in the club's pre-season games.

The Rossoneri lost their opening match of the tournament 3-1 to Borussia Dortmund in a disjointed showing, possibly as a result of all the changes.

New signings Ricardo Rodriguez, Franck Kessie and Fabio Borini all started with Hakan Calhanoglu and Mateo Musacchio coming off the bench at half-time.

Kessie could start again after impressing Montella, and the Milan coach also admitted he could opt for a three-man defence, following the arrival of Leonardo Bonucci, per Football Italia.

Montella will certainly be keen to step their preparations up as the club face a Europa League qualifier against Universitatea Craiova on July 27.

Bundesliga champions Bayern look the stronger team going into the game, and it will be intriguing to see if Montella can find the right mix following the raft of new arrivals.
