The pair, who were separated following allegations of cheating had stayed cordial until the recent poisoning accusation came to the fore.
Toyin Aimakhu's ex-husband, Niyi Johnson, has dismissed reports suggesting that he has been making attempts to reconcile with the actress since their marriage ended following allegations of infidelity.
According to Johnson,
the actress had been the one making moves to ensure that they get back
together, and he has proof to back up his claim.
Johnson, who is an actor, mentioned this in an interview with Punch Newspaper's Saturday Beats.
He said, “This
is a blatant lie! In fact, the reverse is even the case. I can’t even
remember the last time I spoke to her; it probably was sometime last
year. I have never called her since this controversy started. But she
has been the one calling me. I have a lot of evidence to prove this.”
The
actor was silent about the chances of re-igniting a romance
with Aimakhu, bluntly stating that he will rather not discuss the
subject.
“I would rather not talk about it. But I have to tell you that in a few weeks, things will unfold.”
Meanwhile, the
actress, in past interviews had revealed her undying love for the actor,
also stating that though she had deep affection for him, she does not
see them getting back together.
